Catalina: Ooooohhhhh! Very fantastico! Only problema, no legit NES and SNES, just a hybrid NES-SNES console. Alfredo: Hey Damon, I haven't seen Lucy for a while... Is she busy with life?
Catalina: Damon, my answer to that: Ebay. Alfredo: Exactly. My dad bought me an SNES on Ebay not too long ago. But I used to have 2 SNESes back when I was a little kid (back in the cheesy 1990s) and I even had a Japanese Super Famicom! But I lost them, sadly. Next up on my dream shopping list is the N64 and NES, because there are games you can't get on Nintendo Eshop and even the Wii shop, not to mention the lack of gamecube games. NES, SNES, GB/C/A and N64 and GC does what Wii, Wii U and 3Don't! Catalina: Yo quiero Melee and Animal Crossing Population Growing! Ricarda: Nintendo! Y U NO GIMME GAMECUBE GAMES FOR WII U?! GRRRRRR BARK BARK!!!
Alfredo: This cannot be said enough. It's almost 2016. The Wii U has been around since late 2012, and yet there is not a SINGLE Gamecube game. Seriously, us guys who were born in late 80s early to mid 90s are STILL waiting for Gamecube games to be on the Eshop. Nintendo is doing a bad job when it comes to virtual console choices on the Wii U. They had done MUCH better in the Wii days, despite the large amount of shovelware (I'm sure Vinesauce isn't even finished with playing all the shovelware 'games'), so Nintendo should get their act together right now before they become the next modern Sega/Capcom/Konami (All 3 used to be awesome back then, now they're shells of their former selves)
Come on Nintendo, you made a gosh darned Gamecube adapter for the Wii U, so RELEASE OUR FAVORITE GAMECUBE GAMES ON THE ESHOP FOR ROSALINA'S SAKE!!! My goodness!
I can understand being frustrated with certain topics that should have been addressed some years ago maybe, but I wouldn't exactly be so antagonistic with Nintendo. I'm grateful for the games they've released, even if it is a bit lackluster to the original Wii's Virtual Console and during this time of the year, it's more understandable to stay focused on releasing new games rather than focusing on rereleases of older ones. But hey, they announced the original Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow games will come to the 3DS Virtual Console, so that's something to look forward to and maybe the start of a wave of classic games to start pouring through, GameCube included too possibly. ^^
Alfredo: Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow? I bet the Genwunners are going CRAZY right now... RBY is not my type of Pokemon game: outdated battle mechanics, Psychics being cheap as heck, lots and lots and LOTS OF GLITCHES, most places in Kanto are boooooring, and not enough variety of Pokemon. Sure, RBY is great for it's time, but Gen 3, 4, 5, and even 6 are better that Gen 1. And I'm not being antagonistic, that's a villain's job. I ain't no bad guy! I just want Nintendo to move on with the times while bringing all generations together (Rereleasing old games while thinking outside the box) No more save Peach from Bowser Mario games. Why can't they make a unique Mario game? In fact, If Nintendo rebooted the Mario Series, would you think it would be great, or would it be Super Mario Bros. 2016?
*sighs* Well I suppose you have a point, but as many reviewers and players say, if the formula isn't broke, then don't try to fix it. Any sort of way you look at the series, Mario will be Mario and the same with Pokémon, yes they have created and changed so many things throughout the games, but they are sorta still the same from a certain perspective.
Right, but Peach will always seem to be the prize at the end of Mario games, which is fine with me, because in my opinion, Peach is the worst leader of the Mushroom Kingdom, and the worst 'woman' in video game history. I typed 'woman' because Peach doesn't act mature. Samus, Rosalina, Daisy, Zelda, Palutena, and even the female Animal Crossing player character are worthy of being called REAL women of Nintendo than Peach. Heck, there is even an Anti-Peach song by Slimkirby, I gotta agree with him over 9000% percent! Now if you guys like Peach, that's fine with me. Rant over. Anyway, I guess the answer will be Super Mario Bros 2016, I'm fully aware that Sega rebooted the Sonic series by making Sonic 2006, and we all know it epicly failed. Lots and lots of loading, glitches, and other bad stuff, except for the soundtrack. So if Nintendo is going to fully reboot Mario, they have to take a HUGE risk and not rush, but IMO, there's a 70% chance they will mess up and make Mario '16 or '17 instead of a good Mario reboot. I love Nintendo and it's classics, but I think they can do much better. They should make new F-Zero games, make Mother 4 and release Mother 3 in North America and the world, make another Punch-Out and Pilotwings, reboot Sheriff, team up with Square Enix again and remake Super Mario RPG for the 3DS, Reboot Ice Climbers and Balloon Kid/Fight, Make a Princess Daisy series, anything that could make the company King again.
I rest my case.
Enough talking about games, what are your plans for Thanksgiving, Damon? And what are you getting for Christmas?
By the way, on the topic of the duo NES/SNES system, the Hyperkin is still a really good system and even functions better than the original consoles. It may not be made by Nintendo, but I like it all the same.
I used to have a Hyperkin handheld SNES, but the little things inside the slot were missing and it couldn't play the games on it. So I threw it away. But at least I've got my real SNES and Secret of Mana 2! Have you ever heard of Secret of Mana 2?
Well It's a game that was never officially released outside Japan. It's a Mana game where one of my favorite 90s videogame characters originated from. That character is none other than Charlotte! The half-elf girl from Wendel and the best healer in the game!
Fun Fact: Not including eshop/Wii Shop downloads, Banjo-Kazooie and Goldeneye 64 are the only games I have for the system.
Alfredo: Hey Damon, I haven't seen Lucy for a while... Is she busy with life?
And NES's and SNES's are pretty hard to find nowadays.
Alfredo: Exactly. My dad bought me an SNES on Ebay not too long ago. But I used to have 2 SNESes back when I was a little kid (back in the cheesy 1990s) and I even had a Japanese Super Famicom!
